Homemade Salsa made with Homegrown Tomatoes
Ingredients
  • 3 cups tomatoes, seeded & diced
  • ¾ cup onion, diced
  • ½ cup red pepper, seeded & diced
  • 3 tablespoons cilantro, chopped
  • 1-2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 jalapeƱo pepper, diced (more or less for heat preference)
  • 1 lime, juiced (small - about 1 tablespoon)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • ½ teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons brown sugar, optional
Instructions
  1. Combine all of above.
  2. Add the brown sugar if needed to cut the acidity of the tomato.
  3. Keep refrigerated.
  4. Best served after a day for flavors to mix.
